Chantz is home

and goddamn it he is snoring! Argh. And to top it off, cheapass's bed is way too small. He never said a queen was to expensive, he told me we didn't need one, our queen was too big, a full was just fine. I didn't argue much; he seemed set. But with me pregnant, and I am only going to get much, much bigger, and the fact that we are both bigger than we were 10 years ago, a full is no longer possible!

Yeah, cheapass tells me tonight when I am whining to get a job and get one, they're too expensive. What? It's at the most $100 more. Ooo, it'll take a whole extra 2 months to pay off. Big deal! I am calling Koch's tomorrow to see if they have an exchange or return policy. Plus we tend to roll to the middle. Our old crappy queen didn't even roll! I am never letting him pick out a bed again. He went with his mom to get Sherry a new bed and he decided we should get the same one. So I went and only tried out that one. I should know better by now. Don't let Chantz make decisions. Maybe we'll get lucky and they will have a queen in stock. But I will wait. This is something we have to live with for years.

**Update**

I finally went to bed at 3 something this morning. I just wasn't tired. I usually sleep near the wall and last night before I got up I was squished between Chantz and the wall. When I came back to bed he was in my spot, so I slept on the outside- and had plenty of room to sprawl out! He was just hogging me before! I really don't like to be snuggled, I am the snuggler and he was bugging me. So, he gets the wall, I get the outside, and the bed is just fine! I am glad that is settled.

We have a California king. I need a telescope to find The Missus.

Glad he's home. Snoring and all.

Hang in there Dawn! I have a full sized bed, and get squished when my 5 year old sleeps with me. Just keep watching for sales, and upgrade when you can :)

WEll a bed is something you are going to have for a long time. We bought a new bed last August and it was the best thing we could have done. My husband has a bad back and he needed something more comfortable. It worked and he is getting a better quality of sleep. Good luck my dear.

With my ex I always got the wall side to stop her having to climb over me in the middle of the night to go to the loo. :-)

Small act of kindness possibly?

Heh, when C. and I first lived together we shared a twin. Recently, after having all sorts of sizes, we tried to share a twin again and he pushed me off of it between the bed and the wall. You just never know what you got till it's gone.

But all the same...better to have him home noisy, sprawled and all. Glad you got it all sorted.

It was nice having him home, but he didn't get to stay. He went back to Texas, but has a second driver this time. He should get home that much faster! The bed is really comfortable and as long as he gets the wall all is good!

Stan and I are small people, but sometimes even our Eastern King (shorter in length but wider than a California King) is too small. I wish they made them even wider, but they don't. I say, go as big as it'll squeeze in your room and to heck with the cost. You can't put a price on a good night's sleep.

Ann, you and Stan must move around a lot in your sleep! I never heard of and eastern king. Sounds BIG!

I do everything except the dishes in my sleep. When I was a kid I'd roll out of bed...fortunately I don't do that anymore. And Stan snores loud. Sometimes I have to resort to earplugs. We need space when we sleep.

The bed is like a big square. Unfortunately, the room isn't.

Hey! Nice skin of your blog, where did you get this?

I love curling up in my bed, sleeping peacefully...hubby knows that *wink.

Ann, do the earplugs work? Because my husband snores too. When my sister was little she used to end up under her bed! I would have to drag her out every morning, if I could find her, she was so small! i am glad you don;t roll out of bed anymore. that could really suck. My new bed is so far from the floor it's higher than my butt!

Teacher sol, tahnks! I got it from VerĂ³nica at http://www.folkvangar.com.ar/. It was a free template and she customized it for me for free, too. Isn't that awesome?

sorry susie. this one wasn't me. Although I did have to customize the html, css and put the blogger code in. I fell in love with it and so downloaded it last night. Later.

The earplugs work OK but they make my ears ache and are uncomfortable, so when his snoring is really bad like when he's sick, I just send him away to the futon in the living room. I was forced to use earplugs when I was on vacation in New Mexico because the neighbors in the adjoining rooms would snore and play tv and talk all night and I couldn't send them away. You kind of get used to them if you use them every night, but I'd rather not have to.

Oh, loud tv at night drives me nuts. I turn on a fan- bathroom vent or a box fan. This white noise usually helps a lot. It also blocks out light snoring. But the loud deep snoring- I move to the couch. It rumbles and even enters my dreams- that is really weird. Sometimes Bruce snores, and I think it is so cute! Little mini baby snores! But I think it is cute when he smacks his lips, too! Not big people though...
