Whole30 day 4

My last two posts are stuck in blogger limbo still publishing. I am relaxing on the comfy sofa that just got new pillows and a slipcover. I am in heaven. Ahhhhhh! Like David says, there is no resisting it.
I had a weird day that started at 2:30 am when I woke up sweating and with heartburn. I fell asleep hours later and had a nice nap, but I was cold and needed a heavy cover. Weird, right? Even David took the day off and slept off and on throughout the day. I ate too many carbs, had no allergic reactions, but had some stomach problems. I think I got contaminated with gluten through the dog food. With five dogs to feed I need to be careful; maybe wear gloves. I got new bowls to prevent contamination, also. Grain and gluten free dog food is PRICEY.
Snack: small banana
Breakfast: 2 rashers uncured bacon, eggs fried in virgin coconut oil and kale with garlic.
Lunch: rosemary salmon with black grapes, purple cauliflower and cucumber spears.
Dinner: slow cooked spicey pork shoulder roast, a tiny sweet potato with butter, spinach and a black forrest smoothie. Turns out I don't like cooked spinach and I gave most to David. The smoothie was completely paleo and really hit the spot. This is why I went over my carbs. I had two bananas today. Le sigh! I'm doing well considering PMS! Not posting pictures because of the last two posts in limbo! Laters!

Whole30 Day 26

Ooopsie. Been so busy I forgot to blog! Today I had an omelette stuffed with last night's chicken stirfry with bok choy. Lunch was a boiled egg, cucumber salad and sauteed kale. I think the cucumber salad gave me gas and bloating. Yuck! Dinner was efficient. Ground beef, onion, zucchini, turnip greens, garlic, salt, pepper, hot sauce. Mehhh.
I ate quickly so I could take Tessa shopping.
Oh... What was I busy with? Drove to south east Houston (Pasadena) to adopt two dogs!!! Had a second interview, etc.

Whole30 day 23

Yesterday we helped family move, came home, had lunch, fell asleep, barbequed, had dinner, and rearranged the house because we got some "new" furnature. Breakfast, eggs, coffee, coconut milk. Lunch asian zoodles with meatballs. Dinner barbeque ribs with a spicey dry rub, soaked applewood chips over charcoal, turnip greens, grilled onion and green pepper. I didn't like the pepper.
When payday comes we are getting slip covers, art, and a centerpiece for the table.

Whole30 Day 22

I worked out. Had a job interview and forgot to blog. Oopsie. Fried Chicken, fried avocado, greens. Was.a lonely evening without David or.kids and I was sad.

Whole30 Day 20

Wow. What a day! My workout was running all over town with the kids and David! Holy shitake mushrooms batman! David got new pants, socks and shoes for work. Took the kids to the park and fed them PIZZA. I ate a piece of pepperoni and I thought it tasted NASTY. Stop eating processed or fast food for a few months. Seriously. Then try something you onced loved. One word: BLARGH! Unless, of course, you're David and all food tastes good, lolol!
We went to Culver's to see Tessa and have lunch (strawberry chicken salad with pecans and blue cheese with raspberry vinaigrette dressing!!!) and David made me cry. Ok so it wasn't his faukt and I shed no tears, but I damn near did. He insisted I kept a 20 this morning and I panicked... Because I lost it. I sat down. I felt miserable and said I was a f!@# up! He told me it was ok.Wenordered, Tess brought our food and I remembered that SOMEONE (David) got a haircut this morning and that YES I DID GIVE HIM THE 20 AND HE SPENT IT AND MADE ME CRY. Vindication.
Breakfast: two eggs and collards.
Lunch: groundbeef, onion, cabbage, tomato, basil, coconut oil on top of salad greens with red cabbage.
Um, second lunch: Culver's salad (above)
Dinner: chicken stirfry with frozen vehgie medley (carrot, broc, caul), ginger, garlic, turmeric, sea salt and fresh ground pepper. Some thyme.
Past few days I only ate around 1100-1200 calories because I wasn't hungry.
I'm hungry today.

Whole30 Day 19

Gosh, I've been slacking off on making big awesome breakfasts. I need to revisit the early days of this challenge and see what I was having. This morning I just had eggs and decaf coffee with coconut oil. Then I had nuts!!! Lunch was.pretty awesome. This weird salad with fermented shallots, sausage and sauerkraut. Also had frig pickles.... Trying to up.the probiotics from fermented foods! No supper yet. I figure I'll get to it later.
Oh and I ran/sprinted with the wii fit plus this morning and did 25 minutes of yoga!

Whole30 Day 17

Still keeping up with my whole30 paleo lifestyle. It rained like crazy today and changed our plans, but you can see I dressed up to go! I tried on a pink gingham button down that used to be tight on me and it was lose! Almost too big!! I was so focused on my belly that I didn't notice I lost inches off of my waist!! Yes yes yes!
We stayed home and cleaned, took us maybe an hour and a half. I got the dining room and living room tackled, and David got our room. I made some beef bone broth yesterday and I finished it this morning. I almost went to bed and forgot about it! Ooopsie!
Breakfast was salad with egg and avocado, but I only ate half of it. Lunch was a burger with a tomato/cucumber salad. Verrrry yummy. Dinner was pangasius fish... Lemon, pepper, salt and rosemary with melted ghee (clarified butter... That stuff that separates when you leave butter out on hot days) anr boiled cabbage and collards. ZOMG that was so good. Been so long since I had cabbage! Yummy! I'm snacking on sunflower seeds and if I get hungry later I'll have a fried avocado. I do need to keep up with my fiber! I've been slacking. See y'all later. Just finished The Last Olympian. Love the Percy Jackson series!
