**Update**

I got in to see my doctor today after I really started to wig out. We threw out the Trazadone, and got a prescription for Lithium... it's only $4/bottle. I need to have blood work done in two weeks with this med, though, because it has some possible nasty side effects. It won't make me crazy though. Liver damage or crazy??? Ok, I will take crazy... but its worth a try.

Lithium is made out of sodium. Watch out you don't gain weight. The price is cheap but is drawing blood levels going to be exspenive?
Trazodone give me a migraine every time I take it. Helped me sleep but that was about all.

Lavender, Thanks for stopping by the Cowpie Field. I'm real happy to have you. Come back. It's a nuthouse but it's fun.

PS. I read below where your doc will only prescribe what's on Walmart's $4 list....that sucks. Truly. She needs to be giving you whatever is best for you.

I had a doc once (no lie. I swear) who when I complained about migraines would pinch the skin between my thumb and forefinger as hard as she could and then tell me that the migraine would be gone in an hour or so. Say it with me....KOOK!

You may have to switch docs. That's what I finally did. And I'm real happy about it.

I effing hate doctors. Arrogant sonsabitches all of em. If the lithium helps your mood stabilize then go for it. If there's a newer med out there that will do the same thing, make your stupid doctor give it to you or get you on a program for reduced cost or something.

I never enjoyed getting blood-work done. Then again, I don't think anyone really does.

Any psych med can cause weight/loss side effects. We weight the patients every week.

Lithium is pretty good. Old but still effective.

I absolutely love the new layout! Man this page Rocks! I am hoping everything is good. I was on lithium once...it was expensive for me.

When did Doozie start saying "effing"? Hmmm?

Speaking of wacky meds, I have a post up you'll probably relate to.

Good luck with that lithium. You will need to monitor that because a friend's mother accidentally received a dosage that turned out to be toxic. It works well, but you have to respect it!
