I finished my Kim Harrison book, for a few demons more this morning! Her books are very addictive. I am finally done with all the ones I have, so I can start sleeping again at night! I have a tendency to stay up all hours reading. The world she created is totally fascinating, and it is still running through my head. I shouldn't read so fast. I should read a chapter at a time and let it sink in, but I don't and I can't. I am thinking of starting the series over.

I put a few flowers out in pots on my back porch and cleaned it up a bit. I want it to look cozy and it is starting to finally. God I have nothing to say.

We dyed easter eggs and got our easter shopping done the other night. We go all out for the traditional Easter Bunny Easter Festivities. I am even thinking about getting the kids pics taken at walmart for Easter.

When I was a kid, my parents always hid our Easter Baskets on us. But then I met Chantz and they ridiculed me to death about that. The baskets are never hidden in our home, only the eggs. One year me and Chantz woke up to find a few dozen eggs hidden all over our yard! I have believed in the Easter Bunny ever since then. Easter makes me very hungry for ham! yummy!

So what do you guys do for Easter?

I always got a basket from the easter bunny...I would go to the front porch easter morning and there would be a basket full of eggs, candy and a stuffed rabbit..every easter...till I was 33...no til i was about 9 I think...found out Santa and the Easter bunny were daddy at the same time..beat the crap out of the kid who broke the news to me..
we always had easter egg hunts at the house..and one year when the granddaughters were young I organized a 'quest'..and they step grandsons and the granddaughters had to figure out riddles and perform great deeds (all read out by the oldest sp. grandson on a scroll)..to win the magic eggs...one each for each kid and it was a big ole egg with money, but was all silver dollars, .50cent peices, $2coins...it was really cool...my sons and daughter in laws made fun of me and said it was stupid..but the grandkids jumped all over them and said it was the best easter they ever had and to leave grandma alone..ha

This year we're going to some friends' for dinner. I'm bringing dessert - it'll probably be a chocolate brownie recipe I found that you make in a crockpot!
Happy uh, Pagan Holiday!

Easter used to be coloring eggs and getting chocolate on the morning. No hunt just a day of eggs and chocolate. Now when I was living with Grandmama it was a day of family and lots of cooking & baking. Nothing beats Black Forest ham baked in beer, cloves, and pineapple.

*sigh* I feel so bad I missed Ostara. Things weren't going so well and even with the email reminder I made I still missed it. My daughter said it was ok to celebrate it with Easter. She's too cute. Honestly I think it would be better in May anyways, I can actually plant stuff for it.

Oh and thanks for the tip on the cooler for my notepad. It helps a lot! I had it over heat once before I got out to find one.
