I like being in the dark

I am the most politically uninformed person on the planet, and I am proud of it! I am not being saturated with what I can and cannot say; a bit only trickles in here and there. Imus who? Ha! I wouldn't know who Obama was if it weren't for Candace over at Chapterhouse for Christ's sake!

At least when I used People PC, I got daily sound bites... snippets of current events, but even that is gone now. Pop culture to me is what I see on the covers of gossip magazines in line at the checkout counter. Do I really give a shit if Br@d and Angelin@ are having issues? Or if T0m and whats her face are in some kind of crazy marriage? No fucking way. I am not bombarded with anything, and it has to do with self control.

If you don't like what you are seeing or hearing on TV or the radio, change the fucking channel. Shut your goddamn browser. Take control of your life, and just walk away.

Don't feed the trolls.

**Update**
I am mostly talking about political incorrect stuff, but everyone comments on the gossip part... part those who go on rampages over what someone said, are gossiping. If we stop listening to these people, then it doesn't matter what they say, because we took away their audience.

Let celebrities have some sort of privacy. How does their life effect ours? Not really much at all other than to create freaky celebrity obsessed people. Man live your own life non?

They entertain us and like you said don't like it move on.

I used to have to write and copy-edit celebrity crap all the time. I honestly could feel it rotting my brain on a daily basis. Thankfully, I don't any more.

My TV mainstays are the Food Network and HGTV and sometimes the potty-mouthed cartoons on Comedy Central. Less to think about that way.

Zanthera- Exactly- give the poor people some peace already.

Zoeybella-That is funny. Glad to see you kept some brains cells alive, lol! I like those potty mouthed cartoons, too, add in some scifi channel shows and baby TV and we are set! Oh, and Gilmore Girls. We cannot forget about them!

I like reading gossip, but I know a lot of people who complain about it!

I 100% agree with you, if you don't like it, don't read it!

I usually find out about the latest hoopla from other blogs since I never read the newspaper or watch the news. I'm in the dark too. As you will notice, the lazy corrected me today on my rant...I will just ignore that and think what I want to

I'm a news junkie, so there's no way I could live in the dark. Plus, with all the crap going on since Bu$hCo took over, I HAVE to pay attention. People get the government they deserve. Too many people weren't paying attention.

The government will do what they please. You can vote for what you want but in the end lots of things said aren't being done.

I'm a political news junkie...sometimes I'll watch/listen to the news all day, if anything, I'm in the dark as far as what's going on on the internet!

As far as celebrity gossip, I agree with you.. who cares? I'd rather look at a package of chewing gum while in the checkout aisle (and I don't even chew!) than look at those rags!

I'm right there with ya, Lav, on being politically uninformed! I hate politics. To me it's a necessary evil, though. The only news I get is what's on TV first thing in the morning when I'm getting ready for work. I'm mostly interested in the weather and traffic reports. lol
